Movie: Ek Tha Tiger

Director: Kabir Khan

Jagran rating: (Good)

Almighty has some special gift in store for Salman Khan as Eidi. Ek Tha Tiger, released on the occasion of Eid, is going to be blockbuster. If the releases of Salman’s flicks during the previous Eid indicate any thing, it can be assumed that Ek Tha Tiger is also going to enter the 100-cr club.  Wanted, Dabangg and Bodyguard had made a whopping business of 100 cr during, which were released on the occasion of Eid in 2009, 2010 and 2011 respectively. Kabir Khan, director of Ek Tha Tiger, appears to create some ripples at the box office.  Ek Tha Tiger is a romantic thriller based on a life of a spy called Tiger (Salman Khan) who works for Indian Intelligence Agency 'RAW'.

The story of the movie revolves around a scientist from the Trinity College who is a suspect for selling the secrets of missile technology of India to Pakistan. The Indian government appoints a secret agent, codenamed Tiger (Salman Khan) and sends him on a mission to observe the suspected professor's activities. When Tiger’s every attempt to meet the professor fails, he comes across professor's caretaker Zoya (Katrina Kaif), who is studying at a fictional dance academy. Eventually, Tiger falls in love with Zoya. And to know what followed next grab a ticket of the film right now.

Thumbs UP: Salman is once again brilliant with his role as a secret agent. Salman just slips into the skin of Tiger and gives flesh and blood to the character of this RAW agent. What makes us love him in the movie is his rugged Tiger-like attitude, that suits him the best.

Ek Tha Tiger is an answer to the Critics who doubt Katrina’s acting skills. Katrina delivers a power packed performance as Zoya. She not only looks stunning in the movie, but the girl proves that she is a good actress also.

Salman and Katrina haven't lost the charm of their chemistry at all. Watching the pair onscreen will be a treat for you. After making various documentary films, Kabir Khan has come up with a  good movie. Script writer Neelesh Mishra has also done a good job. Tight script and compact story line doesn’t let the audience lose their interest.

The action sequences looks real yet, retains the element of larger-than-life heroism. Music Directors Sohail Sen , Sajid Ali and Wajid Ali have done a great job with the music. Songs like Lapata, Masaallah and Banzara are already chart toppers. Exotic locations of Dublin, Cuba and Istanbul are really awesome.

Thumbs Down: Except for few predictable scenes, the film looks flawless. Ek Tha Tiger is a complete entertainer and a must watch movie of the year. Enjoy Indepence Day and Eid with Ek Tha Tiger.
