Lucknow: Samajwadi Party has invited social activist and Gandhian Anna Hazare to join them to protest against the Mayawati government. State president Akhilesh Yadav, on Monday, spoke about launching a campaign against corruption in Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking on the occasion of merger of Akhand Desham Party (ADP) with SP, Yadav invited Anna Hazare publically.

Dubbing the unearthing of scams in the health department of the BSP government a victory of the SP, Yadav said that had we not protested on roads, two ministers wouldn’t have resigned.

Akhilesh Yadav pulled up the Mayawati government for a string of scams thriving in the state. Addressing the media, he said, “The SP will root out the ruling party and soon announce the list of candidates for the Assembly elections.”

Asked about discontent in SP over distribution of party ticket, Akhilesh said that he didn’t find any problem during his tour till Kasganj.

In a response to a statement made by Saharanpur MLA Imran Maksood, Yadav said if there is any discontent, it will be resolved.

ADP's national president Radhey Shyam Patel expressed his faith in Mulayam Singh. He said that everybody should work in unity to topple the unjust government.

Another retired SP worker Radheysham Singh joined the ADP and Akhilesh Yadav accepted his membership in the party.
