New Delhi: Sensing a fierce fight in the upcoming 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party has tightened its belt for scoring well in the polls. The party is soon going to announce the names of its candidates and start election campaign.

The Congress and the BJP seem to be lagging in chalking out plans for the election and are still stuck in selecting candidates, while the Samajwadi Party has already made strategy to defeat the Mayawati government on her home turf.

According to sources, “The SP has already analysed those seats where sitting MLAs could be shifted and once the names of candidates are announced, there will be no further change.”

A senior SP leader stated, “People in Uttar Pradesh know the failures of Mayawati government and they will certainly come out in support of the SP, which has been continuously opposing the ruling party’s malfunctioning in the state.”
