With the pictures leaked on the internet, the company would surely not relinquish any opportunity to provide the best flip phone experience to its customers. The bitter past experience of flip phones included the T9 dictionary autocorrects, MMS messages, and furiously hitting the back key when you accidentally started up your GPRS connection.

The smartphone giant has slapped smartphone hardware into a flip phone casing and its ready to launch  it in Asia sometime next year. The Samsung Galaxy Golden 3 was leaked from TENAA, the Telecom Equipment Certification Center in China, the product is recently goes by its name SM- W2016. The phone will run on Android 5.1.1and has dual 4G capability. It packs a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC with 3GB RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage. The phone has a 16MP rear cam and a 5MP front camera and, curiously, features two 3.9-inch AMOLED (1280x768) displays.

With most of the customers expecting small size flip phone, it seems that the cellular giants are in no mood to compromise on the screen real estate. One display is, as you would expect it, accessible when you flip open the phone, and the other is on the outside of the device, likely to quickly check notifications and the like. The flip phone absolute a feast in your eyes on that ABC/123 T9 keypad. Just thinking about it brings back memories of aching thumbs. On the plus side, the phone does seem to have a mix of metal and glass thrown in there, so maybe this thing will actually turn out looking better than we expect.
