The phone is powered by Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. The device has got slots for two SIM cards (GSM+GSM). Grand 2 is installed with a 5.2-inch HD TFT display featuring a resolution of 720x1280 pixels.

The smartphone has got a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM. It also includes an eight-megapixel autofocus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. Grand 2 will be available in three colors, black, pink and white, in selected regions.

The handset was launched in India on Monday and is expected to be priced between Rs 22,900 and Rs 24,900.

The handset also contains software customizations like Story Album, S Translator, S Travel, Sound and Shot and Samsung Hub. The official Samsung press release states, “Galaxy Grand 2 is a device that offers an optimal large-screen experience on a portable, compact smartphone. This evolution of the Galaxy Grand series brings meaningful upgrades to its predecessor including an improved HD viewing experience, enhanced performance, and many other intuitive features.”
