New Delhi: Boasting a tagline ‘It doesn’t take a genius’ Samsung Electronics targets Apple Inc’s latest flagship iPhone 5 in a print advertisement.

Dropping all pretences, Samsung directly aims to make the iPhone 5 look low-end in contrast to the Galaxy S3. Reportedly, the ad is set to hit newspapers across the USA on Sunday.

The advertisement copy, tilted towards Galaxy S III for obvious reasons, starts with - "It doesn't take a genius" - and follows that with - "The next big thing is already here, Galaxy S III".

The ad features both Galaxy S III and iPhone 5 side-by-side and also enlists Galaxy S III’s almost double the list of features against that of iPhone 5.

Korea-based Samsung Electronics is yet to move on after being defeated by Apple in a patent lawsuit. A California jury in August had ordered Samsung Electronics to pay USD one billion as damages to Apple Inc for design and patent infringements.
