'' I am paying price of being a Dalit. I am not in that video. Investigation must be done about video,'' he said.

He compared himself to Eklavya by saying that, ''Like Eklavya was pulled down, when people from our community rise some plot is hatched to destroy us. The plot was hatched ever since I installed Dr Ambedkar's statue. It is because I am poor and Dalit”.

"This is a conspiracy against me as I belong to Valmiki Samaj. There should be a probe into this matter. I am very hurt by watching the video on television. There is no authenticity of this CD. Authenticity should be checked," he told reporters at his residence here.

"Someone is saying the video is two months old and others are saying it is three months old. There is no authentication Dalits have been exploited always. I belong to a poor family, so I know the facts are distorted. I have been framed because I am a Dalit," he said.

He also lashed out at the media. "Without knowing my side, the media is showing things. My family is with me. I am not afraid of such controversies. I am a loyal person and can sacrifice anything for my community.

"I have resigned on basis of morality. If media is trying to twist it then it is wrong. I was a soldier of AAP earlier and now also I won't let the party be defamed," he said.

In a sudden move, Kumar was sacked by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday night after receiving an 'objectionable' CD in which he was purportedly shown in a compromising position with a woman.

The decision to remove the 36-year-old minister was taken at a high-level meeting attended by top AAP leaders and the announcement was made by Kejriwal himself through a tweet.

"The CD came to us half-an-hour back. We saw the CD and took the decision to sack him immediately. AAP has zero tolerance for crime and corruption," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia told reporters tonight.

Former AAP members Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan said that they had warned Kejriwal about the misconduct of several candidates he had selected to contest the Delhi elections when they were in the party.

BJP leader Vijender Gupta said that Chief Minister Kejriwal should resign for appointing the most morally corrupt Cabinet.

"Chief Minister Kejriwal must resign for burdening Delhi with the most morally corrupt Cabinet. Three out of six ministers removed in last one year and dozens of MLAs booked," he said.

Kumar represents Sultanpur Majra constituency. He is the third AAP minister to be sacked after Jitendra Tomar and Asim Ahmed Khan.
