New Delhi: Hearing a plea by Nikhat Parveen, the wife of Fasih Mahmood, an engineer from Bihar detained in Saudi Arabia for his alleged terror links, the Supreme Court on Monday asked the Centre to file report on Fasih within three weeks. Parveen has pleaded the Apex Court to ask the government to share the information regarding her husband. Fasih is suspected to be involved in many terror attacks in India.

In its reply to the Apex Court bench headed by Justice P. Sathasivam, the government said that it knew about Fasih’s detention in Saudi Arabia on June 26. It further added that it was trying to bring him back to India. The government also informed the court that CBI was striving to deport him from abroad but it is a lengthy process which could take some more time.

Fasih’s wife has alleged that her husband was picked by Indian intelligence agencies personnel including that of IB from her flat in that country where he was working as an engineer.
