New Delhi: The Supreme Court issued notice to Maharastra government on case transfer plea of four terrorists.

Hearing their petition, the Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to the Maharashtra government seeking reply within four weeks.

Imprisoned without trial for five years, Mohd. Aamir Shakeel, Mohd. Jabir Siad Anwar, Riyaz Ahmed and Abdul Samad Samsher Khan have filed a petition regarding transfer of their case. They have urged the court to transfer their case to Malegaon, from where they were arrested.

Counsel of the accused, D K Garg requested the division bench of Justice J M Panchal and Justice H L Ghokhle to transfer the case as the only MCOCA court in Mumbai is presently busy conducting trial of train serial blasts.

The accused were arrested with explosives and weapons by Mumbai ATS in 2006 in connection with several terrorist activities.
