According to sources, the unrecognized Cricket Association of Bihar Secretary Aditya Verma had called on the Asian Cricket Council to bar N Srinivasan from heading the body, saying that allowing him to do so would be in violation of a Supreme Court order.

Verma had earlier in May written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to help young cricketers of his state and take action against BCCI s president in-exile N Srinivasan.

Verma had reportedly requested Modi to intervene in the matter by constituting an ad-hoc body to run cricket in the state. He also stated how neighbouring Jharkhand fraudulently snatched recognition from Bihar.

Verma in his letter urged Modi to come forward in taking initiative for a corruption-free BCCI.
