New Delhi: Hearing the plea of Congress leader and an accused in 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Sajjan Kumar, the Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed ongoing trial against him in Delhi’s Karkardooma Court.

The Apex Court said that the stay on trial court’s hearing will continue until hearing on Sajjan Kumar’s plea in Delhi High Court is completed.

Sajjan Kumar has moved a plea in Delhi High Court to be allowed to cross examine a complainant Jagdish Kaur who had filed an affidavit before Nanawati Commission in this case.

Delhi High Court will take up the Congress leader’s plea for hearing on July 27.
