Bhopal: Students’ and parents’ grievances would be well addressed, as an innovative idea has been adopted in Madhya Pradesh by setting up complaint boxes in various government schools and private schools.

As per the step, complaint boxes will be put up in government as well as in private schools in the state which will be opened in the presence of teachers of the concerned schools.

Government run schools in the state are slated to re-open from June 16 after summer break. Moreover, corporal punishment has been banned in the schools of the state under Right To Education (RTE) Act.

Children being given corporal punishment is a common practice in government run as well as in private schools of the state.

To deal with it, the state education board has made it mandatory for government run schools as well as private schools to provide for complaint boxes in their premises.
