New Delhi: In a bid to create awareness among the employees of Central public sector enterprises about their health, the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) is organizing a Heart Protection Assembly 2011.

The programme will be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister on Thursday while Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the state Dr AK Walia will be the chief guest at the event.

The main focus of the programme will be on heart care of the employees. Well-known heart surgeon Dr Trehan and senior cardiologist of Moolchand Medcity will participate in the programme to extend heart care for the beneficiaries.

According to SCOPE Director General Dr UD Choubey, about 400 employees, senior officials, Directors and CMDs of public enterprises will be participating in the programme.

During the programme, the employees will be made aware of the stress management, keeping the heart healthy and changes to be incorporated in the lifestyle to keep away from heart ailments.

Discussions will also be held on kidney ailments, diabetes and their connection to heart diseases.
