New Delhi: The Supreme Court directed the Uttar Pradesh government to take disciplinary action against Noida police personnel, who are alleged to have thrashed and abused two MBBS students when they came with the court notice against the cop.

The MBBS students, Monika Kumar and Manish Kumar who came to submit a notice issued by the Apex Court against SHO Anil Samania of Noida sector 39 on May 28, 2009, were brutally beaten by the police. The medicos tried to lodge a complaint against the police, but the law enforcement agency shrugged it off.

According to a report, the police registered complaint of the students in general diary in a bid to cover up the incident. When the students tried to lodge the case in SSP Noida office, sub inspector Rishipal, who was on duty, showed his reluctance to help them out.
