Varanasi: Even as it looked set to re-promulgate the Land Acquisition Ordinance, government on Saturday insisted that it was not making it a "prestige" issue and was willing to have a discussion with opposition parties to sort out differences.

Aizawl: Former Mizoram Chief Minister Brig Thenphunga Sailo died here on Friday, family sources said. Sailo (93) was rushed to the hospital at around 10 am and died there at 11.50 am after heart failure, its authorities informed.
