Srinagar: Article 370 of the Indian Constitution is the "strength" and "honour" for Jammu and Kashmir and the special status would not be threatened by the New Industrial Policy, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said today even as she promised to review the controversial proposal.

Patna: Allaying fears regarding its stand on Article 370, which guarantees a special constitutional status to Jammu and Kashmir, BJP on Monday said "status quo on it will be maintained". "The status quo on Article 370 will be maintained. .... This is a constitutional matter and any kind of change in it cannot be brought in the Parliament," BJP's national spokesperson M J Akbar told reporters here.

Srinagar: The BJP said on Wednesday it won't press for the abrogation of Article 370 of the constitution, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, if people of the state want it to stay. Bharatiya Janata Party state vice president Ramesh Arora made the announcement here.
