Mumbai: Telecom stocks today rose by up to 4 percent after the government allowed companies to share airwaves in the same band so as to reduce call drops. Shares of Bharti Airtel surged 4.13 percent and Idea Cellular gained 2.56 percent on BSE. Reliance Communications too jumped 3.52 percent but later pared the gains as the trade progressed.

New Delhi: Inter-ministerial panel Telecom Commission is likely to discuss the issue of spectrum cap in sharing and trading guidelines on November 10. According to sources, the issue is to be deliberated upon on Tuesday as some operators have sought clarification on the current cap rules.
