Washington: Richard Rahul Verma will be sworn-in as US Ambassador to India on Saturday, becoming the first Indian-American to hold the post. Verma's appointment was confirmed by US Senate by a voice vote last week.

Washington: The United States senate on Wednesday confirmed, by a voice vote, the nomination of Richard Rahul Verma as the next US ambassador to India. Verma, 46, is the first Indo-American to be the US ambassador to India and is expected to be sworn in shortly.
