Kanpur is the 15th most polluted city in India. This is the reason for which the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF) has not given its nod for the city’s new project. As per the ban, a project work could only be started in Kanpur until and unless the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) gives a clean chit to these new projects vis-à-vis the city have to look into the aspect of environmental reforms.
