Amar Singh seeks court's nod for treatment abroad

Former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, arrested in the cash-for-votes scam, on Monday filed an application before a Delhi court seeking permission to go out of India for medical treatment. Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal accepted the application and posted it for hearing on Tuesday.

The Delhi High Court on Monday issued a notice to Delhi Police while hearing pleas for regular and interim bail of Rajya Sabha member and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, an accused in the 2008 cash-for-votes scandal.
