New Delhi: A consortium of banks led by State Bank of India today rejected the proposal in the current form offered by liquor baron Vijay Mallya and his companies to pay Rs 4,000 crore by September towards settlement of his loan before the Supreme Court, which directed him to disclose his total assets by April 21.

New Delhi: "Crime has won and we have lost (Jurm jeet gaya, hum haar gaye)" was the immediate reaction of the family of the December 16 gangrape victim, after the Delhi High Court yesterday refused to stay the release of the juvenile convict, who is now a major and due to be set free on Sunday.
