All railway bridges are safe: Government

New Delhi: All railway bridges in the country are safe and there should be no concern over them, government assured Lok Sabha on Thursday. Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha said inspection of bridges on Indian Railways is a well established regular process and all bridges are inspected twice a year, one before the onset of monsoon and one detailed inspection after the monsoon.

Madurai: PMK founder has claimed that 14 railway projects planned for Tamil Nadu have been cancelled and termed it as a backward step. Railways had cancelled 160 projects in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka. But the cost and importance of the projects cancelled in Tamil Nadu were more, PMK founder leader, Dr S Ramadoss said in a statement here.
