Bhopal: Children with congenital defects born to parents exposed to the gas leakage here in 1984 should be identified and treated, demanded an NGO running a clinic for the survivors of the world's worst industrial disaster ahead of its 31st anniversary.

Activists claim that 25,000 people fell prey to the deadly gas leaks due to a faulty valve. Those who tried to escape from  the vicinity of the Carbide plant were doomed to live their life with disabilities. Even after the 31 years of the tragedy, the cause remains under the debate and activists have been fighting a legal battle.
