Patna: In a move apparently to woo the voters ahead of the Assembly polls due later this year, Bihar government on Tuesday relaxed the 75 percent attendance norm for school students for this fiscal to avail various benefits and provided reservation for contractors of reserved categories in tender for road construction works upto Rs 15 lakh.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today asked the Centre and the Election Commission to suggest solutions to a legal impasse arising out of a Patna High Court verdict fixing the tenures of two, four and six years to one-third members each of a total of 24 Bihar Legislative Council members to be elected on July 7.

New Delhi: Sunil Mittal-led Bharti Airtel has become the world's third largest mobile operator with 303 million subscribers. With operations in 20 countries, Bharti Airtel, which is present in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Africa, has "become the third largest mobile operator in the world in terms of subscribers", the company said in a statement.
