New Delhi: Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson today appointed Paolo Colella as India Head with effect from September 1. Colella succeeds Chris Houghton who will assume the role as Head of North East Asia region, the company said in a statement. Ericsson said in his new role, Colella will take a seat on Ericsson’s Global Leadership Team, reporting to Chairman of Region India and Senior vice president Asia-Pacific, Mats H Olsson.

Mumbai: A sharp downward correction in Chinese stocks and uncertainties involving Greece kept Indian markets on edge, which ended the week in the red. The global weakness meant benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty settled below the psychologically significant 28,000 and 8,400 respectively, reversing three weeks of gains.
