Mumbai: Heavy-duty promotions by Salman Khan notwithstanding, the box office collections of his production venture Hero has been just about decent. The remake of the 1983 classic, which features star kids Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty and has most panned by critics, did a business of Rs 21.20 crore in its opening weekend.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Kabir Khan’s espionage drama Phantom, which is based on aftermath of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, has collected Rs 33 crore in its opening weekend. The film starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif has emerged as the biggest opener in this genre beating Akshay Kumar-starrer Baby, which was a bigger film. Phantom raked in a little over Rs 33 crore in its opening weekend itself.

Mumbai: The box-office business last weekend was a throwback to the sluggish first quarter of 2015 with 'All Is Well' and 'Manjhi – The Mountain Man' opening to dull houses. The former failed to cash in on its star power — Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Rishi Kapoor — and its prospects were blighted by mostly damning reviews. 'Manjhi', on the other hand, put up a decent show, making the most of its restricted theatrical release.
