New Delhi: Government is actively considering revising the 5-20 rule to allow Indian carriers to fly abroad and the Route Dispersal Guidelines (RDGs), which make it mandatory for them to operate to remote parts of the country like the Northeast and Jammu and Kashmir.

New Delhi: India's total carbon emission rose from 15.39 million tonnes in 2012 to 15.63 million tonnes in 2013, marking an increase of 1.57 percent, government told the Lok Sabha on Monday but underlined that developing countries have no legal binding on reducing carbon emissions.
