Patna: A senior state BJP leader, Srikant Bharti was shot dead in Bihar's Siwan district, triggering violent protests on Monday by his supporters, police said. Bharti was killed by unidentified men late Sunday night when he was returning from a marriage party.

Muzaffarpur: In a shocking incident, two unidentified women allegedly kidnapped the newly born grandson of JD(U) MLC Dinesh Prasad Singh and BJP MLA Veena Devi from a well-known private hospital in Muzaffarpur in Bihar. A police official said the grandson of the legislators was born to their son Abhishek alias Raja Babu and his wife Khushi on Friday at the hospital located in the heart of the city.
