Man kills girl for failing to molest her, arrested

A man was arrested for allegedly killing a girl after failing to molest her in Gudumba area, police sources said here. The body of Kshama Yadav (19), who was missing since April 9 evening from her house in Senwa village, was recovered from the fields the next day, they said.

An FIR was lodged on Friday against a suspended constable posted at the Bhojpur police station here on charges of rape and sexual harassment, police said. The case was registered against constable Arun Sehgal at the Modinagar police station here on the complaint of a girl, who had accused him of maintaining a physical relationship with her on the pretence of marrying her.

One person was killed and three others injured in a clash between two rival groups in Chirgaon area of the district, police said on Sunday.
