Srinagar: Leh in frontier region of Ladakh slipped to a bone-chilling minus 13 degree Celsius even as the night temperature continued its free fall below the freezing point across Kashmir division.

Lucknow/Dehradun:  Intense cold wave conditions accompanied by snowfall have left 24 people dead in Uttarakhand, officials said on  Thursday. Officials in the hill state of Uttarakhand said two persons have died in Haldwani, three in Nainital, six in Bhimtal and Bageshwar areas, while nearly 13 died due to the inclement weather in the Kumaon region since Tuesday.

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh reeled under biting cold wave conditions on Tuesday as mercury hovered around freezing point in several parts of the state.
