New Delhi: Delhi on Friday recorded the hottest day of the season with mercury shooting up to 43.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal.  However, respite from the intense heat is on the cards with the weatherman predicting that dust storms and thunderstorms might sweep some parts of the city on Saturday.

Kochi: In a significant ruling, the Kerala High Court on Friday said that being a Maoist is not a crime and police can not detain a person merely because he is a Maoist. "Being a Maoist is of no crime, though the political ideology of Maoists would not synchronise with our constitutional polity. It is a basic human right to think in terms of human aspirations," it said.

New Delhi: Complainant has alleged before the court that Mr. Pachauri was “dictating what needs to be said to witnesses” in the sexual harassment case.The Delhi High Court on Wednesday refused to cancel immediately the anticipatory bail granted by a trial court to TERI Director R.K.
