Heavy rains lash Gujarat; 34 dead

Ahmedabad: Heavy rains triggered by a deep depression in the weather system claimed as many 34 lives in Gujarat yesterday. Saurashtra region was pounded by incessant rains with Gir, Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Ahmedabad being the worst-affected districts.

Vadodara: 113 Indian fishermen, who were released from Pakistan jails on June 19, have arrived here. The fishermen, who were apprehended by Pakistan marine security in the last one to three years from Arabian sea in Kutch District, bordering Pakistan, arrived at Vadodara from Amritsar last night and embarked to their respective villages on the same night.

Bengaluru: Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan clinched their maiden I-League title in 13 years after managing a 1-1 draw against defending champions Bengaluru FC at Kanteerva Stadium.
