Thiruvananthapuram: Firming up plans to drastically reduce availability of liquor, the Congress-led UDF Government on Tuesday decided to issue notices to hoteliers below the five-star category to shut their bars by September 12.

Kochi: Bar owners in Kerala on Monday approached the High Court challenging the government's decision to close over 700 bar hotels in the state maintaining it was discriminatory.
