New Delhi: Sir Garfield St Aubrun Sobers or Garry Sobers was born on 28 July, 1936 in Bridgetown, Barbados. He made his first-class debut for the Barbados cricket team at the age of 16 in 1953 and made his Tests debut a year later. He is still considered as the one of the greatest all-rounder.
