Rahul asks MPs to <strong>gear</strong> up for LS polls

Hoping to repeat the spectacular performance during the last general elections in Uttar Pradesh, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi asked the party MPs from the state to gear up for poll preparations. Addressing the Congress MPs from Uttar Pradesh in the Parliament premises, Rahul Gandhi asked them to visit their constituencies to complete development projects. Several party MPs apprised Rahul of the problems arising out of the implementation of schemes. The political analysts are viewing this meeting as the possibility of mid-term polls to the Lok Sabha after the 19-members DMK withdrew support from the UPA over Sri Lanka Tamil issue. However, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid denied of any possibility of mid-term polls to the Lower House. Khurshid said that many a times, the elections are conducted three-four months before the schedule times.
