New Delhi: Amid the recent fluctuation in global oil prices, state-run Indian Oil Corp (IOC) late on Thursday moved in contradictory ways on transport fuels, increasing the price of petrol by 58 paise a litre and decreasing diesel by 31 paise per litre effective from midnight -- both at Delhi, with corresponding changes in other states.

Subsidised LPG Rate Hiked By Rs 2 Per Cylinder

New Delhi: The price of subsidised cooking gas (LPG) was today hiked by about Rs 2 per cylinder, third increase since July, while the jet fuel price was cut by 3.8 per cent.A subsidised 14.2-kg cylinder will now cost Rs 425.06 in Delhi as against Rs 423.09 previously, according to state-owned oil firms.

New Delhi: Delhi Metro train commuters are likely to shell out more with a panel recommending a sharp increase of upto 66 per cent in ticket prices. A source privy to the report said that the panel has recommended the lowest fares to be increased to Rs 10 from Rs 8 now, and the maximum fare to Rs 50 from Rs 30 at present.
