Pithoragarh/Gopeshwar: Twelve persons were killed and 25 others were missing as torrential rains and landslides hit Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh and Chamoli districts in the wee hours today, burying villages in sludge with many residents trapped under the debris.

Dehradun: At least 14 bodies have been recovered so far from the debris in villages which were buried in a cloud burst in Uttarakhand, police said today. As many as 39 people were feared dead yesterday in the incident that occurred in six villages of Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts, the police said.
