Karnal child death: NHRC issues notices to Education Department and Karnal SP

The National Human Rights Commission on Wednesday issued notice to the Haryana Education Department government and Karnal SP seeking their reply within four-week on the incident in which a six-year-old Pankaj Singh allegedly died of the shock after he was locked up in his school.

Chandigarh: Cold conditions today prevailed in Punjab and Haryana with minimum temperatures hovering below normal level in various parts of both states. Ludhiana, the industrial hub of Punjab, turned out to be the coldest place in both states as it recorded a minimum temperature of 3.3 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal, an MeT department report said here.
