The Supreme Court of India has questioned the governments for not taking preventive actions before summer. Environmentalists say that due to lack of long term water conservation plans in the country, we are unable to curb drought and store enough water. In such a scenario, the well is a key source of water, as has been since the establishment of human civilisation across the world.
