Chennai: Normal life was thrown out of gear in Tamil Nadu today as incessant downpour since last evening lashed the state. In the state capital Chennai, people in many areas found their houses in knee-deep rainwater. The heavy rain also affected public transport buses and trains. Incoming trains were delayed by several hours while many flights were rescheduled due to the downpour.
