Broadband for all panchayats by 2016 too ambitious target: Trai

New Delhi: As government targets to expand broadband connectivity to all 2.5 lakh panchayats of the country by 2016, telecom regulator TRAI chief Rahul Khullar on Thursday termed it as a very "ambitious" target, saying believing in it would be like "deluding ourselves".

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh reeled under biting cold wave conditions on Tuesday as mercury hovered around freezing point in several parts of the state. The water pipes froze and burst at many places in mid and higher hills, thick ground frost occurred and slippery roads hampered vehicular movement in the morning hours.
