New Delhi: The first Indian Mars Orbiter spacecraft is inching closer to the red planet, as it has covered more than 540 millions kilometers which is around 80 percent of its journey and has to cover just 20 percent of its journey for its rendezvous with the planet slated for September 24.

Washington: Near-earth asteroids provide a unique opportunity to test the new technologies and capabilities we need for future human missions to Mars, NASA has said. NASA will mark 45 years of the first human landing on the moon July 20. It will launch a robotic mission to rendezvous with a near-earth asteroid around 2019, NASA said in a statement.
