Hyderabad: Uganda has sought India's help in setting up a police training academy in that country, a senior official said here on Saturday. Speaking at the 'Youth Conclave' organised by Young Indians, a part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here, Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) Aruna Bahuguna said, "Uganda has requested us to come and help them in setting up their police academy."

Rajahmundry: The Andhra Pradesh government has taken up a massive tree plantation program in the state by planting 25 crore saplings this year. After participating in Kartheeka Vanmahotsavam in Peddapuram mandal, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said these plantations were necessary to maintain ecological balance which requires at least 33 percent forest cover whereas our statistics show that the state has only 20-21 percent greenery.
