Union government's ambitious project 'Indira Awaas Yojna' (IAY) to provide residential accommodations to people hailing from financially weak background in rural areas, has failed to benefit the deserving candidates. By clubbing hands with the concerned authorities, villagers belonging to financially sound families are being allotted several houses under the project launched in 1985, but the needy persons are yet to avail the facilities.
