Mumbai: She is known as the czarina of television and a bold filmmaker who loves pushing the envelope and dealing with subjects that most of her compatriots avoid. Ekta Kapoor’s Shaadi Ke Side Effects has just released while she has two more projects — Ragini MMS 2 and The Villain coming up. The women in her cinema are in stark contrast to her bahus in her TV shows. Like or hate her serials and films, Kapoor can hardly be ignored. Excerpts from an exclusive chat:

Mumbai: Jodha and Akbar, essayed by Paridhi Sharma and Rajat Tokas on television, will be seen as commoners in a coming episode which will require them to dress differently than what they usually wear in the period drama.

Mumbai: Though her latest film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara has not really set the cash registers ringing across the country, Ekta Kapoor has been leaving no stone unturned to boost her film’s fate. The producer even flew down to Rajasthan last week to meet a group of people who call themselves Shri Rajput Karni Sena and had threatened to stall the release of her film.
