New Delhi: The government has cleared 21 foreign direct investment (FDI) deals worth Rs 281 crore but deferred Kotak Mahindra Bank's proposal to hike foreign investment limit in the bank to 55 percent.

Chennai: Exerting pressure on the Congress Government in Karnataka, DMK on Saturday said it should immediately file an appeal against AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa's acquittal in the wealth case as it "has a duty to uphold justice". Party chief M Karunanidhi cited the Karnataka Government had a "duty to uphold justice" as it enjoyed the "primary right" to file an appeal in the case by virtue of being the sole prosecuting agency.
