Berlin: Scientists have successfully developed cellulose fibres that are stronger than steel and aluminium. A novel procedure developed by a Swedish-German research team spins extremely tough filaments from tiny cellulose fibrils by aligning them all in parallel during the production process.

That is how a Bangalore man booked his name in Guinness Book, by spelling the word 'Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia'. As if this wasn’t enough to startle people, he pronounced the same word in reverse order as well without batting an eyelid. And with this, Shishir Hathwar, 25, has made his entry possible in Guinness Book record.
