New York:  People with faster resting heart tare are at an increased risk of developing diabetes, warns a new study. Each additional 10 beats per minute is associated with 23 percent increased risk of diabetes, similar to the effects of a three kilogram per metre square increase in body mass index (BMI), the findings showed.

Sanaa: Saudi-led warplanes launched a fresh wave of air strikes across Yemen targeting Iran-backed rebels as fighting raged on the ground in the south of the country, witnesses said. United Bank says lost hope to recover money from Kingfisher

Mumbai: State-owned United Bank of India has become the first of the 17 lenders to publicly admit that it no longer expects to recover its dues from the beleaguered Kingfisher Airlines. Interestingly, the Kolkata-based lender was the first bank to attempt to get Vijay Mallya, the chairman of Kingfisher Airlines, tagged as a wilful defaulter.
