New Delhi: After facing a major setback by the ruling of Uttarakhand High Court yesterday, Centre has taken legal battle further to the Supreme Court with listing its appeal against the HC verdict which is scheduled for hearing at 3.30 pm by a bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra.

Dehradun: At least 14 bodies have been recovered so far from the debris in villages which were buried in a cloud burst in Uttarakhand, police said today. As many as 39 people were feared dead yesterday in the incident that occurred in six villages of Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts, the police said.
