An Uttar Pradesh policeman was in critical condition on Wednesday after he and a colleague clashed with each other with bamboo sticks in media glare, leaving them bleeding from the face.

Eleven members of a marriage party were killed on Tuesday and 30 others got injured when a truck in which they were travelling collided head-on with a roadways bus at Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh, the police said.

Seven persons, including three children, were killed and 40 others injured when a bus in which they were travelling lost control and dived into Khannaut river in the neighbouring Pilibhit district in Uttar Pradesh, the police said.
